During the Yuan, Ming, and Qing dynasties, the Bell and Drum Towers have always served as the timekeeping center, deeply influencing people's daily lives and work and rest schedules. These two tall buildings are located at the northernmost end of the Beijing Central Axis and are arranged longitudinally. The Bell Tower is situated in the north, with a height of 47.9 meters. Inside it hangs a bronze bell cast during the Yongle period of the Ming Dynasty, weighing approximately 63 tons. The Drum Tower is in the south, standing at a height of 46.7 meters. Inside, there is one large drum and twenty-four small drums. In ancient times, people used the method of "beating the drum in the evening and striking the bell in the morning".
